Ballet
Learn the traditional methods and French terminology of classical ballet, starting with barre work, and continuing into correct placement of the body and other techniques. Progresses to center work, jumps, turns, and variations.
Ballet Express
A shortened, accelerated, 30 minutes of Basic Ballet including learning French terms. Leaps & turns included!
Clogging
A type of folk dance performed with an up-and-down body motion. Dancers make most sounds with their heels and movements are more flat-footed than tap dancers. Clogging shoes have loose taps on their shoes to create a different rhythm.
Contemporary
A fusion of Ballet, Jazz, and Modern along with hip hop, street dance, and Musical Theatre.
Creative Movement
Introduction to french terms and movement focusing on coordination, teamwork, dance etiquette, and most importantly, learning the joy of movement.
Hip-Hop
Quick moves, isolation of arms, torso and legs, mixing jazz, rock, and pop for unique and personal dance interpretations. Teaches fundamental Break Dance moves and tricks, covering categories such as toprock, power moves, and freezes.
Jazz
Contemporary style using modern music and freedom in arms, legs, and torso. Emphasis on entire body usage, correct body placement, coordination, and quickness.
Latin Jam
A Latin Jam Workout combines techno and Latin music with dance and aerobic movements. It is a fusion of Latin dance steps such as Salsa, Merengue, Raeggaeton, Cumbia, Samba, Soca, Belly-Dancing and the faster-paced rhythms of Pop and Techno.
Leaps, Turns, and Tricks
Technical class concentrating on improving balance, strength, and flexibility while mastering a variety of jumps and turns. Designed for dancers with previous experience in ballet and jazz.
Lyrical
Poetic style of dancing fusing ballet and jazz techniques to create a flowing interpretation of music and to express emotion.
PBT
Progressing Ballet Technique: A body-conditioning and strengthening program for students to improve muscle memory, range of motion, and technique. The goal is to help improve students' understanding of core stability, weight placement and alignment.
Pointe
Correct placement and use of feet and legs developed through specific exercises and pointe shoe use. Beginning and intermediate levels will learn proper technique and safety as they build a strong foundation. Advanced pointe will explore repertoire and popular variations.
Acro for Dancers
Unique blend of dance and gymnastics disciplines. Core techniques include flexibility, strength, balancing, limbering, and tumbling. This style of dance and technique aims to enhance precision and showcase the athletic elements within dance today.
Tap
Precise rhythmical patterns of foot movement are part of this lively, rhythmic dance style. Learn syncopations, choreography, and improvisation.
Twirling
Baton twirling is an artistic and aerobic sport combining dance and gymnastics while manipulating one, two, or three batons with the hands and around the body.
Yoga
Yoga as exercise is a physical activity consisting largely of asanas, often connected by flowing sequences called vinyasas, sometimes accompanied by the breathing exercises of pranayama, and usually ending with a period of relaxation or meditation.
